What We Believe and Know to be True

We believe that the Holy Bible, comprised of the Old and New Testaments – 66 books, is the inspired word of God. The Holy Bible is inerrant, infallible and is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and practice. The Holy Scriptures is the standards of life set by God for man. ( Deut. 6:17, John 14:21, 2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:20-21)

We believe in one God, eternally existing of three persons; God the Father, God the Son-Jesus Christ, God the Holy Spirit. (Deut. 6:4, Matt. 28:19, John 10:30, 1 John 5:7)

We believe that God created the heaven and the earth. (Gen.1: 2: John 1:1-3, 10)

We believe in the virgin birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. That Jesus Christ is God incarnate, 100% man and 100% God. That Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross, died and was buried. He rose again on the third day by the power of God and His ascension to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father. (Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, 53, Matt. 1:18-23, Luke 1:28-35, Acts 7:55, Romans 6:4, 8:34, 1 Cor. 15:1-4)

We believe Jesus Christ will come again to gather His church, believers in Christ, (1 Thess. 1:9-10, 2:19, 4:16-17) and until that time Jesus Christ is our intercessor and High Priest, (Romans 8:34, Heb.4: 15, 5:8-10).

We believe that man was created in the image of God but was separated from God by sin, and is condemned to damnation for his sin. (Gen. 1:26, 2:7, 3: 6:5 , John 3:17-18, Romans 5:14-21, 6:23)

We believe salvation of man’s soul can only be by true faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and is the grace of God. (John 3:16, Acts 4:10-12, Romans 3:24, 10:9, Eph. 1:7, 2:8-10)

We believe that once a person has truly repented and given their life to Jesus Christ for salvation and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, that person is forever entrusted to Jesus Christ, becomes a child of God and shall receive the free gift of eternal life, never to loose it. Salvation is entirely apart from any initiative of man. God calls upon man and man must believe and receive by faith in Jesus Christ that God is. (Once saved always saved) (John 1:12-14, 3:16 10:25-29, 14:6, 15:16, Romans 10:9-10, Hebrews 11:6)

We believe in baptism by immersion as a symbol of obedience and public proclamation of faith and that baptism does not save the person, (1 Peter 3:21), and the Lord’s Supper is a remembrance of the sacrifice of His body and shed blood by the death He suffered on the cross for our sins. The example of sacrifice by Christ is the example for all believers to follow and keep in remembrance. ( Luke 22:19, 1 Cor. 10:16-17, 11:23-30, Hebrews 9:26-27)

We believe that all men will stand before God in judgment. Those who are of the faith in Jesus Christ will reign with Christ and live eternally with Him in heaven and those who are not of the faith in Jesus Christ are judged and condemned to an eternal hell. ( John 5:24-29, Romans 14:10-12, Rev. 20)

We believe that God has set and created all authority consisting of three basic institutions, the family, the church, and the government. Every person is subject to these authorities, but all are answerable to God and are responsible to the obedience of His word. God has given each institution specific responsibilities and balanced those responsibilities with the understanding that no institution has the right to infringe upon the other. Each is equal and sovereign in their respective Biblically assigned sphere of responsibility under God. (Acts 5:28-29, Roman 13:1-7, Eph. 5:21-6:4, Heb. 13:7, 17, 1 Peter 2:13-14)

We believe that God, Jesus Christ and His word will never change. ( Mal. 3:6, Luke 16:17, Heb. 13:8)

We believe that tithe and offerings are commanded of God and are holy unto Him in obedience and once given, belongs to the service and ministries of the church, (Exodus 25:2, Lev. 27:30-34, Mark 12:42, 1 Cor. 16:1-2, 2 Cor.9:6-9).
